Sand and Finish

Dust Free Sanding -  Virtually eliminates airborne dust and cleanup. This process does add extra cost due to equipment hookup and depending on footage of floor will take an extra day for completion.

 I offer the conventional sand and finish- hanging plastic where necessary to contain dust including doorways cabinets, returns and air vents. We are careful to clean up when job is complete but cannot guarantee there will be no dusting.

Unfinished hardwood flooring can be custom stained and finished to suit your particular taste and style.  Existing hardwood floors can be transformed to help you sell your home and save the extra expense of buying new flooring.

Why Sand and Refinish? - Sanding and refinishing restores floors to new condition. The right equipment and experience are needed. It typically takes 2 to 4 days to sand, stain and finish. Once the final coat has been applied, you should wait 4-24 hours before walking on floors.

When is it time to Sand and Refinish? - I recommend sanding when the existing finish is severly scratched, dented or worn through to the wood.

Is it possible to sand my pre-finished engineered wood flooring? - Yes, depending on manufacturer, there is a wear layer of hard wood that allows you to refinish your existing floors.
